Early Christian period, C.800-950 AD. Small size ½ with thick rounded band and flat lozenge form bezel with transverse groove. Only the noble and royal classes could afford rings such as this for children. Professionally refurbished with the gold surface restored. Suitable for wear on a neck chain.
